I am a teacher. What happens to my benefits if I choose to work less than 100% (i.e. 60%, 40%)?

Instructional employees that are in percentage positions are eligible for medical benefits. The board will pay a portion equivalent to the percentage teaching position.  The employee will be responsible for 100% of the regular premium amount AND for the additional board amount equivalent to 100%.   (i.e. An instructional employee in a 60% position will pay the regular 100% employee premium amount along with 40% of the board portion.  The board will pay 60% of the board portion.)  If you are considering a percentage position, we encourage you to contact the Human Resources Benefits Department at 547-7610 to gather additional premium information.
