What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

Part of the wellness program for St. Johns County School District employees is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  An EAP can provide the help you need to get through tough times.  It is a voluntary and confidential counseling service.  Employees and family members may access the EAP to assist them in coping with the stress of everyday life.  All services are designed to help maintain emotional well-being, as well as a productive role in the workplace and at home.  Services include help with the following problems: abuse, adolescents, aging parents, alcohol/drug abuse, eating disorders, grief, child behavioral disorders, ADD/ADHD, school problems, smoking cessation, stress, and depression.  You may access this benefit for three free visits.
